Adam Holloway MP chaired a debate on the policy of sanctions in Iran. The Rt. Hon. The Lord Lamont of Lerwick and Peter Jenkins, former UK Ambassador to the IAEA, argued in favour of a new approach to sanctions and that the current policy along could not work. Professor Ali Ansari and Nazenin Ansari called on targeted sanctions aimed at the Iranian regime.
The event was attended by Parliamentarians as well as members of CMEC’s wider network including a large number of the Iranian diaspora in the UK.
