CMEC and Forward Thinking were hosts at a joint dinner with HRH Prince Turki bin Faisal al-Saud where the discussion centred around the uprisings in the Middle East. HRH Prince Turki gave eloquent answers to robust questioning which included human rights, education and foreign policy.

CMEC hosted a lunchtime brief in which Sir Jeremy Greenstock spoke to MPs about the current situation in Israel and the occupied Palestinians Territories.
On the 10th November CMEC held a roundtable discussion at Parliament on the Middle East Peace Process. A number of MPs were in attendance, as were leading diplomats, journalists and academics from around the world.
On 9th November 2010 CMEC hosted a briefing for Professor Ali Ansari in which he discussed the current situation in Iran, the status of the Green Movement and the nuclear issue. This was followed by a question and answer session.
On the 8th November CMEC hosted a lunchtime brief with General Lamb at Roux at Parliament Square. He gave a presentation on the impact of the SDSR, together with a talk on the UK’s capability to respond to future conflicts worldwide.
On Wednesday 14th July, CMEC hosted a lecture by Professor Hooshang Amirahmadi at Portcullis House, to a select group of MPs, Peers, academics and analysts.
In February, CMEC hosted a round-table dinner for Karim Sadjadpour, Middle East Associate for the Carnegie Endowment’s International Programme for Peace, and a number of Conservative Parliamentarians at the City Inn hotel in Westminster.
